To support the professional growth of young teachers and promote the deep integration of legal education and legal practice, on June 5, 2025, the first "Young Teachers' Development Forum" of the Law Department of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University was successfully held at the Wutingfang Hall of Yinglong Law Firm.
The event, themed "The Development of Young Teachers in the Law Department and the Reform of Legal Professional Talent Cultivation," was attended by Dr. Mao Delong, the Director of the Management Committee of Yinglong Law Firm, Director Jiang Zhiyuan of the Head Office, Party Branch Secretary Peng Shiming, and leaders from the School of Law and Knowledge of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, including Secretary Xu Jianxin, Dean Huang Junhui, Vice Dean Xiao Yangyu, and Vice Dean Li Xiaoping, as well as young teachers from the Law Department. Through school-enterprise dialogues and experience sharing, it provided a valuable platform for the deep integration of legal education and practice. The forum was hosted by Director Wan Juanjuan of the Law Department.
At the beginning of the forum, Dr. Mao Delong stated in his speech that as a legal practice institution, Yinglong Law Firm has always attached great importance to in-depth cooperation with universities and hopes to build this platform to support the growth of young teachers and jointly explore new paths for the cultivation of legal professionals in the new era.
Secretary Xu Jianxin emphasized in his speech that young teachers are the source of vitality for the development of the school and the main force in teaching and research innovation. Holding the Young Teachers' Development Forum is a key measure for the school to strengthen the construction of the teaching staff and stimulate internal motivation. Dean Huang Junhui offered insightful suggestions on optimizing the curriculum system and innovating practical teaching, hoping to bring the freshest practical cases and industry insights into the classroom to comprehensively enhance the quality of legal professional talent cultivation.

Director Jiang Zhiyuan stated that law is a highly practical discipline, and students need to intern in law firms, enterprises, and public prosecution, judicial, and law enforcement units to integrate into the front line of legal practice, deepen theoretical understanding, and cultivate professional qualities. Party Branch Secretary Peng Shiming mentioned that in the current era of rapid technological development, it is necessary to strengthen the internship and practical links while actively embracing legal technology and applying artificial intelligence in legal research, document generation, and case analysis.
During the discussions, the teachers of the Law Department engaged in in-depth exchanges on multiple core topics, from the setting of the curriculum system to the innovation of practical teaching, and put forward many forward-looking and operational constructive suggestions. They also shared valuable experiences on themes such as teaching and research work and student competition guidance, injecting strong impetus into subsequent teaching reforms and the development of young teachers.
The forum concluded in a warm atmosphere. In the future, Yinglong will continue to work with the Law Department of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University to explore more forms of exchange activities, jointly promote the innovation and development of legal talent cultivation, and write a new chapter in the deep integration of legal education and practice.
